Zero security breaches<50ms latency24/7 threat monitoring

    Business Challenge

The telecom provider needed to detect and respond to threats across distributed edge infrastructure without sending every event to a distant central platform or adding unacceptable delay to network traffic. Static perimeter controls did not provide enough context for device and service-level decisions, while an inline security layer could not become a new performance bottleneck. The system therefore had to combine zero-trust policy, local detection, and centralized visibility within a strict latency envelope.

    Solution Overview

DIATOZ implemented an edge security platform that evaluates identity, context, and policy close to the protected workload. Edge nodes process security events locally for time-sensitive detection and publish normalized events to a central stream for correlation, investigation, and policy oversight. Event-driven services separate detection from longer-running analytics, while centralized dashboards provide a network-wide view without requiring every decision to wait for a round trip. This study focuses on runtime threat response and latency; the Mobile Network Edge Security study focuses on agentless visibility and fleet-wide security operations.

    Architecture & Engineering

Zero-trust access decisions based on verified identity, service context, and explicit policy
Edge processing nodes for local event evaluation and low-latency threat response
Kafka event backbone carrying normalized detections and telemetry to central consumers
Event-driven detection services that can scale independently by workload and region
Central correlation and dashboards for cross-edge investigation and policy visibility
Continuous monitoring of detection health, event lag, response time, and policy distribution

    Edge ComputingKafkaIoTZero-Trust Architecture

    Business Impact

The platform maintained a reported sub-50ms security response latency for supported edge decisions
No security breaches were reported during the measured operating period
Local processing reduces dependence on central connectivity for time-sensitive detection
Centralized event correlation improves visibility across distributed edge locations
Twenty-four-hour monitoring gives operations teams a consistent view of threat and platform status

    Why DIATOZ

DIATOZ combined telecom-scale event processing, edge architecture, zero-trust controls, and security operations to improve threat response without compromising network performance.
