iOS Rollout for a Commission-Free Food Ordering Platform

Feature-parity iOS launch path in 10 days without a second product rebuild

    Client

    Commission-Free Food Ordering Platform

    Region

    United Kingdom

    Key Outcomes

10-day iOS rollout timelineFeature parity with AndroidValidated ordering, payment, login, location, and media flows

    Business Challenge

The client's Android app had already proven a commission-free food ordering model, but iOS customers were unreachable. A full native rebuild would have duplicated cost and maintenance for a lean business whose value proposition depends on low overhead, while the launch still needed full parity across ordering, payments, accounts, and restaurant-facing flows.

    Solution Overview

DIATOZ wrapped the existing web application in a native iOS container, preserving the core product while adding iOS-specific capabilities. The rollout covered Apple Developer setup, bundle IDs, certificates, provisioning profiles, Firebase integration, WebView navigation, camera and photo permissions, location access, background refresh behavior, safe-area and status-bar handling, app icon and splash branding, device screenshots, App Store metadata, privacy disclosures, and compliance readiness.

    Architecture & Engineering

Native iOS WebView container around the existing food-ordering web application
Apple Developer, App ID, bundle identifier, signing certificate, and provisioning setup
Firebase integration plus native permission handling for camera, photos, and location
Responsive validation across iPhone SE, standard, Plus, and Pro form factors
Critical-flow testing for signup, login, order placement, payment gateway, and poor-network behavior

    Business Impact

Reached iOS customers without duplicating the product into a second native codebase
Protected the low-overhead economics behind the commission-free restaurant model
Maintained Android feature parity across account, ordering, payment, and location flows
Created a maintainable rollout path where future improvements flow from the existing web platform

    Why DIATOZ

DIATOZ chose the rollout architecture that fit the business model: fast, pragmatic, maintainable, and focused on customer reach rather than unnecessary rebuild cost.
